I had a surgery at U of M and the Med Inn at the hospital was full so they booked me a night at the Kensington for $88. Upon arrival, William, the gentleman who checked us in, was very friendly, puring us a complementary glass of champagne. What a surprise and delight! He was friendly and thoughtful. When we got to our room, it was 75 degrees. We turned the air down to 65 and could hear it run and feel cool, but the temp never went down;in fact, it went up a degree. When we reached out to William at the front desk, he offered a fan as the maintenance man was gone for the day (we arrived after 8pm). He also said we could try opening the window, which we did but Michigan humidity is just a bit much. He said if it wasn't cooler, to call back and he'd find a new room. We called, and he kept his promise. His genuine care for us and our comfort was a nice change of pace compared to many other hotela we've stayed at. The new room was 70 and although we got it down to 68, we never got that room down to 65 for more comfortable sleeping, but it was tolerable. The water pressure in the shower was great. They had a variety of amenities, but with our late arrival and early departure, we were

I cannot say enough wonderful things about William at the front desk at Kensington Court! He was truly exceptional and made such a positive difference in our stay. From the moment we arrived, he was incredibly kind, welcoming, professional, and genuinely helpful. He went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and taken care of, and you could tell that he truly cares about the guests. William is exactly the kind of person you hope to encounter when travelingβ€”warm, patient, attentive, and willing to do whatever he can to help. His customer service was absolutely outstanding and honestly some of the best we have ever experienced at a hotel. Kensington Court is very lucky to have him. William deserves to be recognized for the amazing job he does. He made our stay memorable, and because of him, we would absolutely return. Five stars are not enough!

I stayed at the Kensington Hotel in Ann Arbor for 4 nights in July 2026. It was generally a pleasant stay with good rooms (3 stars), friendly staff (4 stars), and a convenient location (3 stars). The room was fine. The sink area was a bit narrow. The toilet seat was chipped. The bedroom had plenty of space and there was a mini-fridge and microwave. My second floor room had a balcony (several of my colleagues had no balcony) but it was a rather disappointing view - I could mainly see roof shingles. In fact, I could directly access the balconies of nearby rooms if I was willing to walk on the shingles. One or two doors down they probably had a great balcony view of the courtyard though. Room service came by every day which was good. However, housekeeping had a habit of turning off the master switch afterwards, meaning that I couldn't effectively charge electronic devices during the day while I was away. Most of the staff was friendly and helpful. However, a handful of the front desk staff were not native English speakers so they would have trouble understanding complex questions. For example, when I asked if local businesses would be open and operating normally despite the high A

I recently had the pleasure to stay at The Kensington Hotel for a conference and had a wonderful stay! The hotel staff went above and beyond to make everyone feel comfortable and welcome! The hotel has a cosy, home feel. Our room was quaint and so very clean! The restaurant staff, front desk staff, housekeeping staff, convention services and food & beverage services all provided outstanding service and it is evident they enjoy making visitors feel welcome. The food was wonderful too! Thank you for your impeccable service and warm welcome! You represent Ann Arbor, Michigan so well!
